Olivier Chappé

Olivier Chappé (born in 2002) is a graduate of the Lycée Georges Pompidou in Castelnau-le-Lez, where he is studying science. He has been passionate about computer science since he started lycée, where he studied computer science and digital creation in Seconde.

It is during his Supervised Personal Work (TPE) that his real trigger occurs. He programs an epidemic model in Python, in connection with his TPE on tiger mosquitoes and obtains thanks to this a more than honourable mark, as well as recognition and esteem from his mathematics teacher, moreover his future computer science teacher.

In September 2019, he starts his Terminale scientifique year where he partners with Dorian for his final project in Computer and Digital Sciences, evaluated at the baccalauréat: Game Creator.

Olivier Chappé is currently studying in a MPSI (Math, Physics and Engineering Science) Higher School Preparatory Class in Montpellier.

Dorian Pâquet

Pupil of scientific Terminale at the Georges-Pompidou high school of Castelnau-le-Lez in 2019-2020, passionate about music and literature, Dorian Pâquet (born in 2003) realizes a website for the promotion of Game Creator. At the same time, he advises Olivier for the graphic part and supervises the user interface of the software. At the end of the year, he plans to study literature.

Dorian Pâquet is currently attending a literary Higher School Preparatory Class in Montpellier.

The project

The development of version 1.0 of Game Creator took place over six months, from December 2019 to May 2020, as part of an end-of-year assignment in Computer and Digital Sciences (ISN), before the reform of the baccalaureate in 2021 where this discipline was replaced by the "NSI" specialty.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic that occurred in December 2019 and the resulting total lockdown of the French population, this work was not rated as it should have been, but was warmly welcomed by the teacher, Marc Béziz. The Game Creator team would like to thank him for his virtual presence, his sound advice and his interest in the project throughout this unprecedented period.
